Family THERAPY

Families benefit from this therapeutic approach because the focus of treatment extends beyond the individual to include the relationships and systems in which each person is embedded. Even when working with one family member, we consider the broader family context and dynamics that influence emotional well-being.

Our approach to family therapy is collaborative, goal-oriented, and grounded in evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family systems approaches. We work with families to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and develop practical strategies to navigate challenges together. Treatment is thoughtful and purposeful, with clear goals and a focus on creating meaningful, lasting change.

Research supports the effectiveness of family therapy in addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, family conflict, parenting challenges, and behavioral difficulties in children and adolescents. We are committed to providing culturally responsive care, recognizing and respecting the diverse values, identities, and experiences that shape each family system.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy provides a supportive space to better understand relationship patterns, navigate conflict, and strengthen connection. We help partners develop insight into their interactions, improve communication, and make thoughtful, informed decisions about the future of their relationship.

We work with couples at all stages, including those who:

  • Want to improve communication and deepen understanding

  • Feel stuck in patterns of conflict or disconnection

  • Are uncertain about the future of the relationship

  • Have decided to separate and want to build a strong, collaborative co-parenting relationship

Our work integrates evidence-based approaches, including CBT-informed strategies, to help couples develop healthier patterns of interaction and more effective ways of responding to one another. We also approach this work through a culturally attuned lens, honoring each partner’s background, values, and lived experience.

Parent Coaching

Parent coaching provides caregivers with the tools and support needed to respond effectively to their child’s emotional and behavioral challenges. We work collaboratively with parents to better understand patterns related to anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral concerns, and to develop practical, consistent strategies that can be implemented at home. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), and focuses on helping parents reduce accommodation of anxiety while fostering their child’s independence and resilience. We also provide guidance around setting limits with empathy, improving parent-child communication, and navigating complex family dynamics. Our work is culturally responsive, honoring each family’s values, background, and parenting style, with the goal of creating lasting, meaningful change beyond the therapy room.
